Lamine Yamal, the young promise of FC Barcelona, celebrated his recent coming of age with an exclusive and luxurious party at a country house located in Olivella, near Sitges.
The event, marked by strict security measures that prohibited the use of cameras, mobile phones, and drones, brought together various figures from the entertainment world. Among the distinguished guests were artists such as Duki, Bizarrap, and Ozuna, making the celebration one of the most talked-about and controversial events in recent days.
And even though everything was a resounding success, it is now the least talked about, as the Association of People with Achondroplasia and other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE) denounced the presence of people with dwarfism at the birthday party of the young promise of Barcelona.
Public denouncement
Through the X platform, formerly Twitter, the ADEE Association issued an official statement, where they reported that they filed a complaint about the hiring of people with such condition, describing this act as a clear form of exploitation.
According to the association, article 18 of the General Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities prohibits including people with this issue in acts that incite mockery and discrimination.
The complaint, along with the images and videos circulating on social media, adds strong pressure on Lamine Yamal, and furthermore, the player is accused of posting a video where he appears in a car without a seatbelt, worsening his situation.
So far, FC Barcelona and the Spanish footballer have not issued an official statement.
