In response to this, the Association of People with Achondroplasia and other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE) issued a statement revealing that they reported the FC Barcelona star for paying individuals with this disability to set the atmosphere at his party.

“It is unacceptable that in the 21st century people with dwarfism are used for mere entertainment. And even more serious if public figures like Yamal promote it. These types of acts reinforce harmful stereotypes and normalize discrimination among young people. It is urgent to educate in respect and equity,” said Carolina Puente, president of the Association.
Yamal will be investigated
In the midst of this controversy, the Spanish government has requested an investigation into Lamine Yamal after the Ministry of Social Rights asked the Prosecutor’s Office to look into whether the law on disability was violated at the party involving individuals with dwarfism.
The above because said law has prohibited this type of practices with mocking or denigrating shows for people with disabilities for almost three years.

Although there is currently no established penalty, the Spanish Government wants to regulate this type of action as a serious offense, with high fines ranging from 600,000 euros to one million euros. Therefore, the Barcelona star could be punished with this amount if evidence is found that the rights of people with disabilities were violated.
