Jannik Sinner wins a millionaire purse after defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final

This is the fourth Grand Slam title in the Italian tennis player's career, but the first at the All England Lawn Tennis.

Jannik Sinner became the new king of Wimbledon, the traditional country of world tennis, after defeating Carlos Alcaraz in four sets by 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, and 6-4, in the grand final held at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

With this, Sinner remains as the number 1 in the ATP and ended a streak of five consecutive defeats against Alcaraz, whom he had not beaten since the Beijing 2023 tournament, when he won in the semifinals in two sets of 7-6 and 6-1.

The Italian fell behind in the first set, but then used his physical strength to win three consecutive sets and dethrone the Spanish player, who was aiming for a third consecutive championship at the tennis cathedral.

How many Grand Slams does Sinner have?

With the victory at Wimbledon, Jannik Sinner now has four Grand Slams in his record. The first one was at the Australian Open 2024 against Novak Djokovic, which clearly marked the generational shift at the top of the white sport.

His second major was in that same 2024, but now at the US Open after defeating Taylor Fritz.

In 2025, the 23-year-old Italian started phenomenally by winning again in Melbourne, but this time against Alexander Zverev. The fourth Grand Slam was the last one he won against Carlos Alcaraz, marking the first time he was crowned at Wimbledon.

However, in the meantime, he had to serve a controversial three-month punishment for doping, even though he tested positive in exams in March 2024.

How much did he win?

Jannik Sinner not only added his fourth major title to his record, but also a whopping sum of 3 million pounds, which is equivalent to 4 million dollars.

After conquering the tennis cathedral, the player born in San Candido, near the border with Austria, is set to participate in the Cincinnati Open and later defend his title in the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year, the US Open.
