Message to the nation from the President of Iran: proclaims the “war” with Israel concluded following the ceasefire

Pezeshkian conveyed to several leaders of other countries that Iran's commitment is to respect the ceasefire with Israel.

The president of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, proclaimed in a message to the nation the “end of the war” with Israel, hours after the ceasefire announced by Donald Trump took effect, and which the Iranian president considers the result of the “brave resistance” of the Islamic Republic.

Pezeshkian stated that the conflict was “imposed” by Israel, which he accused of launching “terrorist attacks” with “false” excuses that contradicted the diplomatic efforts initiated by Iranian authorities to resolve possible “misunderstandings,” in reference to the potential development of an atomic bomb.

What did the President of Iran say about the damages caused by the attacks from Israel and the USA?

Although he acknowledged that the attacks caused damage and loss of life in Iran, he spoke of a “historic punishment” to Israel, an “enemy” that, according to his view, “failed time and time again” in its various objectives, including supposedly the destruction of nuclear facilities.

According to the United States and Israel, the attacks ordered by Donald Trump early Sunday morning destroyed the nuclear facilities in Fordo, the largest Iranian center for uranium enrichment.

Despite that, the president stated that the Israeli operation ended up revealing the high cost of any “adventure” against Iran and sought to send a message to all countries in the region, pointing out that Tehran advocates for “coexistence” and “stability” and that its efforts will always be “in the service of peace and friendship among Muslim brothers.”

In fact, Pezeshkian held an intense round of contacts with leaders from other countries on Tuesday, where he conveyed that Iran’s commitment is to respect the ceasefire, as long as Israel does not violate the truce.
