Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and bone metastasis

Details here:

The former President of the United States, Joseph “Joe” Biden, has been diagnosed with “advanced” and “aggressive” prostate cancer that has metastasized to the bone, confirmed his team through a press release this Sunday.

“Last week, former President Joe Biden was evaluated after a new nodule was detected in his prostate, following increasingly intense urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with bone metastasis," reads part of the document.

It was reported that Biden and his family are “evaluating treatment options with their doctors.”

“Even though it is a more aggressive form of the disease, cancer seems to be sensitive to hormones, which allows for effective management. The president and his family are evaluating treatment options with their doctors,” he adds.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), prostate cancer is a type of disease that originates in the prostate gland, located below the bladder and responsible for producing part of the semen.

A Gleason score of 9 indicates that cancer cells are “very abnormal” and grow quickly.

Biden assumed office as president on January 20, 2021. He is a member of the Democratic Party and has a long political career.

Before becoming president, he was the vice president of the country during the administration of Barack Obama, between 2009 and 2017. Additionally, he was a senator for the state of Delaware from 1973 to 2009, making him one of the senators with the longest tenure in the country’s history.
