During her walk on the red carpet of the Met Gala 2025, held this Monday night, Aimee Lou Wood enthusiastically talked about her co-star Walton Goggins in “The White Lotus 3”, trying to put an end to speculations about a feud between them.
In statements to Entertainment Tonight, Wood assured that she deeply enjoyed working with the 53-year-old actor. “It was the best thing in the world”, she stated, denying any kind of tension during the filming of the third season of the successful HBO series.
Rumors fueled by social media and parodies
The versions of a conflict began to circulate last month, when the actress publicly expressed her displeasure with a parody on the show “Saturday Night Live” titled “White Potus”, where they mocked her character in the series. Wood expressed her displeasure through a post on Instagram, stating that she found the interpretation to be “cruel and not funny at all.”
In the sketch, comedian Sarah Sherman imitated Wood using exaggerated false teeth and a caricatured British accent, which the actress found offensive.
Goggins, on the other hand, reacted positively to the same sketch on his social media, calling it “sublime” in a post that was later deleted. In another separate comment, he also described it as “incredible work,” which further alarmed the followers of both actors.
Tension increased when several users noticed that neither Wood nor Goggins followed each other on Instagram, further fueling the narrative of a possible conflict.
Evasive answers and tension in interviews
In a recent interview published by the London Times, Goggins was directly asked about rumors of disagreement with his co-star and partner in the script of “The White Lotus 3”. His reaction was firm: he refused to discuss the issue and abruptly ended the conversation. “What the f..k?” he replied to the journalist. “Come on, buddy. Wow.”
Another sign that not everything was harmony on set was given by Jason Isaacs, another cast member of “The White Lotus 3”. In an interview on SiriusXM’s “Happy Hour” show, Isaacs confirmed that there were “arguments” during filming, although he avoided mentioning those involved.
Goggins is getting ready for his debut on SNL
Despite the apparent differences, Wood showed enthusiasm about Goggins’ upcoming debut as host on “Saturday Night Live”, scheduled for this Saturday, May 10th.
“He’s going to be amazing on SNL,” she declared. “It’s the perfect project for him. It’s going to be so much fun. I’m excited to see it.”
These statements could put an end to the rumors that have surrounded the acting duo since April, especially on social media, where fans have not stopped speculating about the relationship between the two actors who played “Chelsea” and “Rick,” one of the main couples in “The White Lotus 3.”
