The assassination attempt on Donald Trump last Saturday continues to make headlines. The event is still being analyzed from different angles, such as the Secret Service’s response, accounts from attendees at the rally where the presidential candidate was speaking, opinions from security experts, the shooter’s lifestyle, and other aspects. Now, a new video has emerged detailing how close the bullet came to the Republican’s head.
A slight movement of his head saved his life. It is a gesture he usually makes when he talks and it is always exaggerated by actors who often imitate him.
“The most incredible thing was that not only did I turn (my head), but I turned at the exact moment and by just the right amount,” said the presidential candidate to New York Post. The bullet fired by the shooter, identified by authorities as Thomas Crooks, was headed straight for his head, but Trump quickly made a small turn that caused the bullet to graze his skull and hit his ear. The former president recounted that the doctor told him it was “a miracle.”
Donald Trump and the exact visualization of the shot
The world was amazed at how the bullet passed so close to Donald Trump's head and only injured his ear. Some call it coincidence, others a "miracle," while others would say it wasn't his time to leave this world. The shocking part is how close the projectile came, fired from a semi-automatic AR-style rifle at a distance of 130 meters.
The social media account @rawsalerts from network X shared a video that used Artificial Intelligence to simulate the exact moment when the bullet hit Trump's ear. The recording shows how a small and quick turn of his head saved him from being killed instantly.
"See how a new visualization analysis captures the exact moment when Donald Trump narrowly escaped an incident that put his life in danger during the Butler, Pennsylvania rally that took place last Saturday night. Trump recounted how he turned his head at the last moment to glance at the illegal immigration statistics displayed on the large Jumbotron and reportedly told former White House doctor, Ronny Jackson: 'That chart I was looking at saved my life.' If I hadn't pointed at it and turned my head to look, that bullet would have hit me right in the head," says @rawsalerts."
The FBI confirmed that it was an assassination attempt, meanwhile, investigations continue by the authorities to clarify the facts and determine responsibility regarding the security failure during the presidential candidate's rally.
