American actor Brad Pitt got into the Formula 1 McLaren of English driver Lando Norris at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, according to videos posted by F1 on their social media.
After filming “F1: The Movie,” the famous actor fulfilled another one of his dreams by getting behind the wheel of a real Formula 1 car in his home country.
How was Pitt’s test drive in a Formula 1 car?
Between walking the red carpet for the movie premiere and talking to media from around the world on a promotional tour, Pitt headed to COTA in Austin to meet with McLaren driver Lando Norris.
In a meeting revealed this Thursday on the official F1 website, Norris offered Pitt some advice and tips before the Hollywood star hit the track at the United States Grand Prix behind the wheel of the MCL60 with the 2023 specification.
As seen in the videos, Pitt completed three laps on the technical circuit with several fast corners.
For the movie “F1”, Pitt indeed had to drive at high speed on the main Formula 1 tracks, such as Silverstone, but they were modified Formula 2 cars to resemble Formula 1 cars.
The movie “F1” has already surpassed $300 million in profits at the box office worldwide and has become Apple’s biggest cinematic success.
