The accident took place in the Spanish province of Zamora, in the northern part of the country, and the footballer’s brother, André da Silva, aged 26, also died.

What did Cristiano Ronaldo say about the death of Diogo Jota?

“It makes no sense. We were just together in the national team, and now you had gotten married. To your family, your wife, and your children, I send my condolences and wish them all the strength in the world. I know you will always be with them. Rest in peace, Diogo and André. We will all miss you,” Cristiano Ronaldo wrote on his official ‘X’ profile.
