The death toll rises to 28 from the recent Russian bombings on Kyiv

134 people were injured as a result of the attacks

The death toll from the attacks launched on Tuesday by the Russian Army against the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, has risen to 28, according to a new update provided by Ukrainian authorities, while 134 people were injured as a result of the bombings.

“The number of victims of the massive enemy attack on the capital on June 17 has increased. So far, the death of 28 Kiev residents has been confirmed,” the city’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, reported through his Telegram channel.

However, it has been reported that rescue teams are still working at the site of the attack, so the final toll is not definitive. The State Emergency Service has specified that 23 of the deceased were in a nine-story building hit by a missile in the Solomianski district.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of launching “a massive attack” against the country and estimated the use of 440 drones and 32 missiles. “Kyiv has faced one of the most horrible attacks. In addition, the regions of Odesa, Zaporizhia, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv have been attacked,” he stated on Tuesday.
