Donald Trump is not only president for the second time, but he also wants to be your cell phone provider. His new project, Trump Mobile, offers mobile plans with a patriotic flavor and comes with its own smartphone: the T1 Phone, a golden model that promises to be as eye-catching as its creator.
Trump Mobile: calls with a MAGA accent
Trump Mobile is the new virtual mobile operator of the Trump Organization. With coverage throughout the United States (thanks to agreements with Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T), it offers telephony, data, and even telehealth in the same subscription.
According to their website, the service is “driven by American pride, freedom, and integrity”, with the promise to treat you like a family member. Patriotic slogan? Definitely. Not so subtle marketing campaign? Absolutely.
Plan 47: the freedom combo
The flagship plan is called Plan 47, costs $47.45 per month, and is designed for those who want a lot for a little (or so they claim). It includes international calls to over 200 destinations, unlimited messages and data, roadside assistance, and access to remote health services 24 hours a day.
A curiosity: the plan number refers to the fact that Trump would be the 47th president if he wins again. Because, of course, everything in this brand has a political nod.
T1 Phone: the golden Trumpophone
An operator without their own cell phone? That doesn’t go with Trump. That’s why the T1 Phone arrives, a mid-range smartphone with a golden design and a nationalist accent. It will be available from $499 and can already be reserved with a $100 deposit.
The T1 includes:
- 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 120 Hz.
- Main camera of 50 MP and front camera of 16 MP.
- 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
- 5,000 mAh battery with fast charging.
- Fingerprint sensor, facial recognition, and Android 15.
What is still unknown: who manufactures the processor. A mystery worthy of a season of The Apprentice.
And what do the regulators say?
Trump’s new mobile business also raises uncomfortable questions. Analysts point out potential conflicts of interest, as the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) would have to regulate a service owned by the president himself. This is not a minor detail.
In addition, this could further strengthen Trump’s economic empire, which according to Bloomberg already exceeds $7.16 billion. His assets range from luxury resorts to digital media, with Truth Social as his main bet on social networks.
Phones, cases, physical stores?
For now, the future of Trump Mobile is expanding. The company has already filed applications to register trademarks such as “Trump” and “T1” in categories ranging from chargers to cases, as well as wireless phone services and potential physical stores.
Everything indicates that this is not a tech whim of an electoral season, but an attempt to create another Made in Trump empire.
