Thunder defeat Pacers and tie NBA Finals

For the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points and Alex Caruso added 20 from the bench.

The Oklahoma City Thunder gave the Indiana Pacers a beating to win the second game of the NBA Finals series and tie the series 1-1.

The Thunder dominated from the first half, going into halftime with a 59-41 lead. In the third quarter, Indiana improved their offense by scoring 22 points compared to the Thunder’s 34. However, this was not enough to stop the home team.

For the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points and Alex Caruso added 20 from the bench.

Jalen Williams scored 19 points, Aaron Wiggins had 18, and Chet Holmgren finished with 15 for the Thunder. This was OKC’s first victory since reaching the 2012 finals against LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh’s Miami Heat. That year, the Thunder did not win the championship.

It was the franchise’s first victory in a final game since the opening game of the 2012 series against Miami.

The playoff series between the Indiana Pacers (IND) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (OKC) is tied 1-1 after the first two games.
