This afternoon, the sports world came to a standstill to watch the life-or-death battle on the Allianz Arena field between PSG and Inter Milan in the Champions League final. Unfortunately, the actions on the field were slightly overshadowed by a terrible incident of violence between fans of the participating clubs.
After the initial whistle sounded inside the stadium, images and videos began to be shared on social media of how at the metro station closest to the stadium, the fans were seen engaged in a violent fight in which they used flags as weapons.
In said clip, you can see how a man with glasses who is standing at the metro entrance exchanges blows with a Parisian supporter who is inside throwing kicks and punches.
It is important to highlight that these were not the only ones involved in the incident, as while they are fighting in the foreground, others intervene from behind throwing some punches as well, and a few try to stop the conflict. It should be noted that this was just one of the incidents recorded on camera, as it is reported that several others occurred in the streets surrounding the building.
Did the fans have a fight with the police?
At halftime of the game, leaks of the violent conflicts once again stole the spotlight on social media. This time a video showed how a group of police officers attacked a group of ultras.
The police officers armed with shields and batons run towards the group of fans, who were approaching with flares. Upon seeing the actions of the officers, the fans quickly dispersed and ran far away from the building as far as they could.
Now it is expected that the celebration of Parisians could be historic as it is their first Champions League.
