Being invited to The Stephen A. Smith Show this past January 15th, the tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs was interviewed about rumors of him wanting to retire and if his current girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was 'convincing' him to do so.
What did Travis Kelce say about how Taylor Swift supports him to keep playing football?
"She's completely encouraging me to enjoy the game," Kelce responded to host Stephen A. Smith. "She loves coming to Arrowhead and cheering me on."
Kelce had already stated that he was not thinking about retiring. "I love everything I'm doing," he emphasized. "But at the end of the day, I'm not having that extreme success on the field as I have had individually. I'm excited for these upcoming games that I will play, to finish this season."
The soccer player simply pointed out that he would "reevaluate" his career as he "always" does: "As long as I come out here to play good soccer and enjoy coming to the stadium every day with my boys, you will see me in the Chiefs uniform," he said.

On the other hand, Travis also took the opportunity to talk about his relationship with the pop star, stating that he is "enjoying all aspects of life, that's for sure": "Taylor and I are happy and I couldn't be happier to have that trust and comfort off the field and all the support I could ask for in the stadium".
Kelce and Swift, both 35 years old, have been together since the summer of 2023 after he attended one of her concerts during the ‘Eras Tour’ in Kansas City, armed with a friendship bracelet he made himself that became synonymous with her shows. The tight end had hoped to give the bracelet to Swift, which had his phone number, but he couldn’t meet the pop star on that occasion.
