She then joined the Washington Spirit in 2021 and by the end of that year, she was named the 'Rookie of the Year' in the NWSL and a member of the ideal eleven. Her outstanding career earned her a $1.1 million contract for four years, making her the highest-paid player in the history of this league.

In 2022, she was nominated for the Women's Ballon d'Or and finished in 18th place.

This year Trinity Rodman has scored five goals in the NWSL and provided four assists in 15 games with the Washington Spirit.
