The famous host Oprah Winfrey had to be hospitalized urgently. The 70-year-old communicator was supposed to attend the American program CBS Mornings but couldn’t make it due to her health problems.

What is known about Oprah Winfrey's health status after being hospitalized?

Despite the alarms, Winfrey's communication team reassured followers shortly after that Oprah "will be fine, she is resting and feeling better every day".

According to one of Winfrey's best friends, Gayle King, the host had a kind of stomach virus that caused her to vomit. "She ended up in the hospital, dehydrated. They put an intravenous drip on her, it was something serious," she said.

Although Oprah couldn't attend the CBS Mornings program, she wanted to share on her social media a review of the book Familiaris by David Wroblewski, which was the reason for her presence on the show: "This fascinating family saga takes us on an extraordinary journey that brilliantly intertwines history, philosophy, adventure, and mysticism to explore the meaning of love, friendship, and living the true purpose of life. You don't need to read David's first book before starting this one, but I'm sure you'll want to after finishing it," she noted.

The presenter has been away from the small screen since 2011. However, in recent years she has been in charge of numerous TV specials that have sparked a lot of discussion, such as the controversial interview with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

During this special, which aired in March on the ABC network, the host addressed her own experiences with obesity and weight loss. Additionally, the most striking aspect of the program was that the host expressed support for the use of medication to achieve weight loss, something she had previously referred to as “the easy way out.”
