The Fire in the Patio de los Naranjos
According to Spanish media, the flames started in the Patio de los Naranjos, next to the Puerta de San José, in the area near Magistral González Francés street. Columns of smoke were visible from several points in the city.
The initial hypotheses suggest that the fire may have started in an automatic sweeper used for cleaning tasks inside the premises. The flames are spreading as emergency services arrive at the Mosque-Cathedral.
