At least four people were shot dead this Friday in a business located in a small town in the state of Montana, in the northwest of the United States. Authorities have started the search for the shooter, who fled the scene, according to local media reports.

The shooting that broke out in a bar in Anaconda, a city in Deer Lodge County with no more than 10,000 inhabitants, resulted in the death of four people, according to NBC.

The Anaconda Police Department identified the fleeing suspect as Michael Paul Brown, whom they described as dangerous, and warned neighbors to stay alert.
The authorities have not identified the victims or mentioned if there were any injuries.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) confirmed the shooting and said in a message on X that they are collaborating with the investigation.
The governor of Montana, Greg Gianforte, said on social media that he is closely monitoring the situation related to “an active shooter”.
The Sheriff’s Department of Granite County, neighbor to Deer Lodge, explained on social media that a police tactical team had searched a house in Anaconda, but had not found the shooter, and advised residents to avoid the area.
