“I had no idea who the couple was,” admitted the Coldplay fan to US Sun. She explained that she only thought she had captured an interesting reaction on the kiss cam and decided to post it without anticipating that it would go viral.

The event has been dubbed on social media as “Coldplaygate”, referring to the mix of music, disloyalty, and its rapid spread on the internet that surrounds it.

Springer confessed that the impact of the video has overwhelmed her, as it has sparked a heated debate about privacy and ethics in the digital age. Although she had no relation to the couple in the video, she expressed that a part of her regrets having revealed a private moment of her life.
