The new movie Superman (2025) directed by James Gunn has sparked a wave of opinions, but this week a post from the official White House account on X (formerly Twitter) ignited controversy:
PUBLICIDAD
An image of the Man of Steel with the face of Donald Trump, accompanied by the message “SUPERMAN TRUMP. TRUTH, JUSTICE, AND THE AMERICAN WAY," has caused confusion, criticism, and even theories about its appearance in the post-credits scenes.
PUBLICIDAD
The official image that sparked the debate
The image simulates the official movie poster, but edited with the figure of Trump instead of David Corenswet (the actor who plays the new Superman). At the top, it reads “A TRUMP PRESIDENCY,” echoing the nationalist slogan that the former president has used during his return to politics.
The post was shared by the @WhiteHouse account with the phrase: “THE SYMBOL OF HOPE. TRUTH. JUSTICE. THE AMERICAN WAY. SUPERMAN TRUMP”
Although this is not an official image from DC Studios or Warner Bros., the fact that it was shared from an institutional account caused a wave of reactions.
Many users wonder if this is a coordinated campaign, a political provocation, or simply a meme taken too far.
Does Trump appear in Superman 2025?
No. Donald Trump does not appear anywhere in the movie, neither in the main story nor in the post-credits scenes. However, the final content of the film has led to political and sentimental interpretations that some sectors have taken advantage of to shape to their convenience.
In the actual post-credits scenes, Superman appears in two moments:
- On the Moon with Krypto, his dog, contemplating the Earth in an emotional scene.
- With Mr. Terrific reviewing an architectural repair after the climax of the movie, Superman gets frustrated for not being able to make friends, and he stays reflecting on his loneliness.
Both scenes were teased by James Gunn himself, who made it clear that he doesn’t like post-credits scenes that only serve to “announce” characters or movies without context.
