In order to celebrate its tenth anniversary, Apple Music revealed its list of the 500 most played songs on the platform, led by some of the most influential names in music currently.

The song “Shape of You”, by the British artist Ed Sheeran, leads the list as the most listened to song in the history of the streaming service. The single reached the top spot on the charts of all genres in at least one country for over 1,000 days and, after its release, broke the record for the most played pop song in a single day globally on Apple Music.

In the second position is “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd, which remained in the daily global Top 10 of the platform for over 180 days. The Canadian singer also stands out for having the most songs in the R&B/soul genre on the list, with a total of nine songs.
On the other hand, Drake ranks third with “God’s Plan,” which holds the record for the most played hip-hop song in the history of Apple Music. The rapper also leads in number of entries, with 27 songs on the chart.
Post Malone ranks in positions four and five with “Sunflower,” a collaboration with Swae Lee for the movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and “Rockstar” alongside 21 Savage.
The rest of the Top 10 is completed by “One Dance” by Drake, “Sicko Mode” by Travis Scott, “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran, “No Guidance” by Chris Brown, and “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish.
It is worth mentioning that Billie Eilish is the only female artist to be part of the top 10.
Similarly, Eilish currently has the most streamed female lead song on both Spotify and Apple Music.
