Netanyahu says that Iran wants to kill Trump

“I can tell you that a few moments ago we caught your Intelligence chief and your lieutenant in Tehran,” he stated in an interview with the American network Fox News."

In the interview, he once again mentioned the alleged attempts by Iranian secret services to assassinate the US President, Donald Trump: “He is public enemy number one, a determined leader”.

Then the Prime Minister of Israel continued to praise Trump and said that “he never took the path of others of trying to negotiate from a position of weakness, giving them a path to enrich uranium, which means a path to the bomb, giving them thousands and thousands of millions of dollars.”

Netanyahu stated that “they have also tried to kill me, but I am just their junior partner... They know that Trump is a major threat to Iran’s plans to turn nuclear weapons into weapons and use them."

Regarding the attacks against Iran, the Israeli Prime Minister asserted that “obviously we have previously informed our American friends and President Trump, our great friend...we are totally coordinated.”

Although Trump did not want Israel to attack Iran, which reportedly created a rift between the two leaders in the US media, Netanyahu is now seeking to involve the United States in order to eliminate the nuclear capabilities of the Iranian regime.

Israel attacked Tehran during the day

Several media outlets reported unusual daytime attacks by Israel on Tehran.

State-run Iranian media published photographs and videos of damaged residential buildings and columns of smoke rising from the center of the Iranian capital, according to The New York Times.

In addition, the Israeli Army bombed an Iranian refueling plane at Mashhad airport in the far northeastern Iran on Sunday, in what is considered its deepest attack against the Islamic Republic since the beginning, last Friday, of its campaign of attacks on Iranian soil.

Mashhad, the second most populous city in Iran and the capital of Razavi Khorasan Province, is located just 150 kilometers west of Afghanistan and 65 kilometers south of Turkmenistan.

Part of the Israeli military operation, which has targeted nuclear facilities and population centers, has focused on establishing an “air corridor” to Tehran and other parts of the country by destroying air defense systems.

“The Air Force works to achieve air superiority throughout Iran,” emphasized the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in their statement.

Israel repels a new Iranian attack

Israel’s defense system intercepted a new Iranian missile attack on Sunday around 3 pm, targeting the center of the country. So far, there have been no confirmed impacts or casualties, as reported by the IDF in a statement.

The Israeli government announced this Sunday that it will extend the exceptional state of emergency declared last Friday with the start of its military campaign against Iran until at least June 30th.
