Air raid sirens sounded in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv

“The Israel Defense Forces have recently identified missile launches from Iran towards the territory of the State of Israel. Defense systems are working to intercept the threat,” stated in a message posted on social media.

The Israeli military authority has recommended that the population stay in “protected areas until further notice” in response to the Iranian counterattack.

In fact, the press conference of the Army spokesperson, Effie Defrin, has been interrupted due to the anti-aircraft alarms in Tel Aviv.

The IDF pointed out that “the explosions heard” both in Tel Aviv and in Jerusalem are coming from interceptions by the anti-aircraft defenses.

The Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, stated that Iran has “crossed the red line” by daring to fire missiles at civilian populations in Israel.

“We will continue to defend the citizens of Israel and ensure that the Ayatollah’s regime pays a high price for its heinous acts,” Katz added.
