Pacers defeat the Thunder and take the lead in the NBA Finals series

The NBA Finals series between the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder is currently 2-1.

The Indiana Pacers won the third game of the NBA Finals series against the Oklahoma City Thunder and now lead 2-1.

Indiana hosted the NBA Finals for the first time in over 20 years. They did so in style by winning the game 116-107, in what was another comeback after trailing in the early minutes of the game.

The Thunder started the first quarter with a lead of 32 to 24; however, in the second quarter, the Pacers scored 40 points compared to 28 from the visitors.

In this way, the teams went into halftime with a score of 64 to 60 in favor of Indiana.

The third quarter started with OKC leading 89-80, but once again Indiana managed to come back in the fourth quarter to take the victory. In the last 12 minutes of the game, the Pacers scored 32 points and their defense limited the Thunder’s offense to just 18 points.

In Indiana, the top scorer was Bennedict Mathurin with 27 points, followed by Tyrese Haliburton with 22, and Pascal Siakam contributed 21 points in the victory.

The Thunder was led by Jalen Williams with 26 points, followed by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 24.
