“Cancer affects us all. Like many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are stronger in difficult places,” said the former president in a message on his social media account X. “Thank you for encouraging us with your love and support,” he added.

Biden’s office specified on Sunday that the former president underwent an examination last week “after the discovery of a new prostatic nodule following an increase in urinary symptoms,” before detailing that, after that, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer at level 9 on the Gleason scale, within Group 5, “with bone metastasis.”
Biden withdrew from the presidential race due to his age, and his successor, Kamala Harris, was defeated in last November’s elections by Donald Trump, the current occupant of the White House. Biden, who is now 82 years old, has been the oldest president in United States history.
