In another video, the University of Pittsburgh student is seen with her friends and there is a man nearby, who appears to be the American Joshua Riibe, who has been questioned for being the last person to see her before she disappeared.

The person seen in the recording is wearing the same clothes that Riibe had on in the images where he is seen holding hands with Konanki.

Noticias SIN also shows how Ribbe vomits on the floor. However, he is not seen interacting with the young college student.

The suspect claims to have saved the University of Pittsburgh student from drowning

The search for the medical student from the University of Pittsburgh is being carried out by air, sea, and land in Punta Cana.

Ribe has answered the investigators' questions, as he was the last person to see the 20-year-old girl on the beach. According to his account, they were both in the water when a wave swept them away. The university student also stated that he managed to pull her out, but she went back into the water to retrieve her personal belongings. Riibe claimed that the last image he has of her is with the water up to her knees, as he fainted and when he woke up on the shore, she was gone. He assumed that Konanki had returned to her hotel room. He didn’t hear about her again until he found out she was missing.

An initial hypothesis suggested that the girl had drowned, although to date, nothing is being ruled out.
