Every house is a refuge and a witness to the people who made it a home,” wrote the 52-year-old actress in a post on January 16 on the Goop page. “Every life is a universe.”

How is the house that Gwyneth Paltrow sold for 22 million?

The single-story, 8,000 square foot house, built in the 1950s and renovated around 2009, is located on two-thirds of an acre in the Brentwood neighborhood of Mandeville Canyon. It features six bedrooms, a large kitchen, and a living room with floor-to-ceiling windows.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Paltrow bought the house for $9.95 million with her ex-husband, Chris Martin, in 2012. In addition to sharing the house with their children and Martin's children, Apple, 20, and Moses, 18, the house was also home to Paltrow's husband, Brad Falchuk, whom she married in 2018, and their two children, Isabella, 19, and Brody, 17.

The living room of the house also opens up to a spacious backyard, complete with lots of vegetation and outdoor gathering spaces. Paltrow's old kitchen features black mosaic floors, a double stove, and a wood-burning oven.

It also has a guest house, which includes a bedroom, a wine cellar, a gym, an office, a game room, and a home theater, separate from the main house.
