Is the United States withdrawing from NATO?

Trump hinted that his country could withdraw from NATO. The Republican also added that the first thing he would do is proceed with a massive deportation of undocumented immigrants.

"I think it has to be done. It's something difficult, it's something very difficult to do. But we must have rules, regulations, laws. They entered illegally," he stated on the program Meet the Press with Kristen Welker of NBC.

He added that he would put an end to the constitutionally protected right of US citizenship for anyone born in the country, insisting that this right is "ridiculous": "If we can, we will do it through executive action."

"We're going to have to change" that right, he insisted. "Maybe we'll have to go back to the village. But we have to put an end to it."

Conflict between Russia and Ukraine

"He added that the issue between Russia and Ukraine will 'probably' decrease. The interview was recorded on Friday, but aired on Sunday."

Regarding NATO, Trump stated that "If they are paying their bills, and if I believe they are treating us fairly, the answer is absolutely that I would stay in NATO," he said. But there is also "absolutely" the possibility that, if those two conditions are not met, Washington will withdraw from the Atlantic alliance, he said.
