Former US President Bill Clinton had an unforgettable night last weekend attending the concert of Taylor Swift in Toronto, Canada, as part of her acclaimed Eras Tour. Clinton, 78, was not only impressed by the show, but openly expressed his admiration for the 34-year-old singer.

In an interview on the program Live with Kelly and Mark on Monday, Kelly Ripa asked Clinton if he had been at the concert, to which he enthusiastically replied: "Yes, I was there!" The program showed a video of the former president enjoying from a VIP box at the Rogers Centre, dancing to the rhythm of "You Belong with Me".

Clinton confessed that this was his first time seeing Swift live, and assured that now he understands why her music has such a deep impact on her followers, especially among young people. "I get it now," he said.

“I understand why so many young girls are so captivated.” The former president also highlighted the impressive endurance of the "Blank Space" singer, who sings for over three hours straight in each performance. “She’s not like many artists who do concerts. She was on for more than three hours straight, without stopping. That is very respectful towards the audience,” he commented.

Bill did not attend alone; he was accompanied by his wife, Hillary Clinton, his daughter Chelsea, his granddaughter Charlotte, and some friends. During the interview, he described the experience of seeing his granddaughter and other girls in the group singing all the songs perfectly. "They were standing there, singing, and they all knew the lyrics to all the songs," he recalled fascinated. When Ripa asked him if the girls had asked him to use his influence to meet Taylor Swift, Clinton joked, "Actually, they didn't, and I probably wouldn't have been able to do it anyway."

Clinton attended one of the final concerts of the Eras Tour, which began in March 2023 and will conclude in Vancouver next month. During her last show in Toronto, Swift became emotional as she realized that the tour is coming to an end, tearfully thanking her team and fans for their unwavering support.
