Victoria Beckham has reached a new chapter in her life at the age of 50, and with it, a renewed mindset. In a recent interview for the cover of Harper’s Bazaar UK, the designer and former Spice Girls member shared how maturity has led her to be more selective with her time and energy, leaving aside external opinions.

Victoria Beckham lost interest in facing the paparazzi
"I used to enjoy going out and facing the paparazzi, I even dressed for them," Victoria recalled, pointing out how priorities change over time. "I no longer seek that, I prefer to lead a discreet life." The businesswoman admitted that with her busy schedule and multiple responsibilities, she no longer pays attention to what others may say about her.
"I've been at this for too long. I used to care when I was young, but now there's too much to think about: I'm very busy and have too many children to worry about. At 50, I woke up with a more carefree attitude."
This renewed approach is also reflected in her fashion business. Nearly two decades after the launch of her eponymous brand, Victoria Beckham has managed to achieve profitability in 2023, a milestone she recognizes as "a great achievement." Over the years, the brand has gone through various restructurings and challenges, but today, more than ever, Victoria feels proud of the journey. "It is a very competitive industry, and it is becoming increasingly harder. Being able to say that my brand is thriving in a time of uncertainty in luxury is a source of satisfaction."
Victoria attributes part of the recent success of her brand to her decision to move to Paris Fashion Week, which boosted her visibility in the industry. Although she initially thought of giving credit to other factors, she ended up admitting her own merit: "I gave myself a little pat on the back," she joked. In recognition of her perseverance and business vision, Victoria Beckham will receive the Entrepreneur award at the Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards 2024, highlighting her career and achievements as one of the most influential entrepreneurs of her generation.
