Once again the owner and master of the average in the National
With an outstanding average of .314, Arráez reaffirmed his status as one of the most consistent hitters in the National League and the entire MLB. This remarkable performance places him alongside great baseball figures, such as Miguel Cabrera, who also achieved a similar feat by winning the batting title in three consecutive years between 2011 and 2013.
Arráez's performance stood out in a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, which ended with a score of 9-2 in favor of the visiting team. In this same game, the Venezuelan reached the impressive milestone of 200 hits in the season, an achievement that only José Altuve had accomplished among Venezuelan players.
After the achievement, the San Diego Padres praised Arráez on their social media, highlighting his impact on the team. "Luis Arráez reaches 200 hits for the second consecutive season. An extraordinary batter!" they wrote in an Instagram post, celebrating his talent and consistency on the field.
Arráez surpassed the .310 of Japanese Shohei Ohtani and prevented him from having the opportunity to win the triple crown. In third place among the best hitters in the old circuit was Dominican Marcell Ozuna, with .304, who has two games left this Monday against the New York Mets, but it is already impossible for him to reach the historic Venezuelan.
