What did Angelina Jolie say about maintaining friendships?
During the promotion of the film, he talked about how music had helped him during a time "of desperation and pain" and that the world of opera provided him with "a therapy he didn't know he needed."
“I had no idea how much I was holding back and not letting out. So the challenge was not only technical, it was an emotional experience to find my voice, be in my body, express myself,” Jolie said.
The mother of six also revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that she does not have close friends, perhaps because people have 'betrayed her many times': “I actually don't have those kinds of relationships. Maybe it's because I lost my mother at a young age. Maybe it's because I'm working. Maybe it's because I'm someone who has been betrayed many times. I don't have many of those warm, close relationships that I rely on so much.”
Jolie lost her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, in 2007, due to ovarian and breast cancer at the age of 56, and according to the actress, she was the most important person in her life: “My mother was very close to me. I lost her. Over the years, some friends were not there for my family in their times of need. I have a couple of people I trust. With whom did Maria Callas die? With two trusted people,” the actress states.
