LONDON (AP) — Princess Anne has suffered minor injuries and a concussion following an incident at the royal estate of Gatcombe Park in western England on Sunday night, according to Buckingham Palace. The 73-year-old sister of King Charles III has been hospitalized as a precaution for observation and is expected to make a full recovery.

Although the exact nature of the injuries had not been confirmed, there were horses in the area. His medical team said that his head injuries matched a possible impact with the head or legs of a horse.

“The king has been closely informed and joins the entire royal family in sending his warmest affection and best wishes to the princess for a speedy recovery,” the palace stated in a press release on Monday, without providing further details.
The princess was walking along the protected perimeter of the estate when the incident occurred, according to the British Press Association.
The emergency service responded to a call at the scene and Anne was attended to there before being transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol. Her husband, Vice Admiral Tim Laurence, accompanied her.
Anne is one of the busiest members of the royal family, who took on more tasks after Charles’ cancer diagnosis. Her commitments in the coming days will be postponed and the princess will not attend the state dinner organized in honor of the Emperor of Japan.

Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise was born in 1950 and is the second daughter of the then Princess Elizabeth, who two years later would become the queen of Great Britain.
