After announcing on March 22nd that she was suffering from cancer and then maintaining a long silence that added uncertainty and speculation among the British press and population, this Friday, June 14th, Kate Middleton broke the silence and spoke out through a post on one of the official social media accounts of the monarchy of the United Kingdom.

In the 224-word text, the Princess of Wales indicated, among other things, how she is facing her treatment and the impact it has on her mood. She also took the opportunity to thank the thousands of messages she has received during this difficult time in her life: "Thank you very much for your ongoing understanding and to all those who have bravely shared their stories with me".

What did Kate said?
"I have been surprised by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the past two months. I am progressing well, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days," clarified the princess in the post, adding that "on those bad days you feel weak, tired, and have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of it."
Undoubtedly, what most sensitized many was her tough stance in accepting that so far the worst has not yet passed, so she must continue to be 100% focused on her treatment to achieve the long-awaited recovery: "My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. I also know that I am still not out of danger".
Kate confirmed she will be attending Trooping the Colour
She also said that “I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet”.
The King´s Birthday is a formal state ceremonial parade also known as Trooping the Colour, performed every year on Horse Guards Parade and with a very colourful presence of the Roya Family at Buckingham Palace.
