Concerns about the sobriety of Ben Affleck are increasing amid rumors of his possible divorce from Jennifer Lopez. According to close sources, the actor, who has struggled with alcoholism and a gambling addiction for decades, may be returning to drinking due to the “acute sadness” he feels about the situation in his marriage.

Ben Affleck has struggled with alcoholism in recent decades.

A source mentioned: "I've heard he's drinking. He's full of demons, he's a really troublesome person." Another added: "I've seen him with glassy eyes and that worries everyone." Affleck's representatives have not commented on the matter. Additionally, it has been revealed that J.Lo's mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, initially one of the biggest supporters of the "Bennifer" romance revival in 2022, has now turned against Affleck. It is also said that Benny Medina, the singer's manager, "openly despises" the actor.

Last Sunday night, Affleck and Lopez were seen at the $60 million mansion they used to share. They spent four hours in the house, which is now supposedly up for sale, in a private meeting. After Affleck moved to a $100,000 per month rental in Brentwood in May, J.Lo canceled her entire summer tour in an apparent attempt to save the marriage. However, multiple sources now say that divorce is "imminent."

Affleck stated that he stopped drinking for the first time in 1997, saying: "I just wanted to stop. I started regretting some things I did when I was drunk. It's funny to be out of control, but then it's like, 'I think I hurt that person's feelings', 'I made a fool of myself' or 'I didn't want to kiss that girl'. I have almost no inhibitions, so it's dangerous for me." He sought treatment for alcoholism in 2001 and returned to rehab in 2017 and 2018. The following year there was a setback when he was photographed leaving a Halloween party intoxicated.
