This year, he will move to Spain, the home country of his current partner, Alejandra Silva.
"For me, going to Madrid is going to be a great adventure because I have never lived full-time outside of the United States," said the actor.
Gere and Silva got married in Spain six years ago. Initially, after their marriage, the couple established their residence in New York, but now, six years later, they have chosen to change countries.
“She was very generous in giving me six years living in my world, so I think it is fair that I give her at least another six living in hers,” added Gere.

Richard Gere and Alejandra are owners of a mansion in Madrid, Spain, valued at 11 million euros, which is equivalent to almost $12 million dollars.
The property is located specifically in the neighborhood of La Moraleja, in the municipality of Alcobendas, Madrid.
According to reports from Spanish media, the house is located on a plot of over 2 acres. The main residence has a surface area of over 10,000 square feet, spread over three floors, and includes several bedrooms, bathrooms, a foyer, living room, main lounge, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, and other amenities.
